2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1: Visibility Still An Issue?

By  |

A super powerful Chevrolet Camaro has showed up at the 2016 New York Auto Show. Under the hood there is plenty to love with this performance pony from GM that uses a 6.2L LT4 V8 to deliver 640hp and 640lb-ft torque surging smoothly with a ten-speed auto boasting shorter ratios.

All that is actually known already. What remains in the dark at this moment is how fast it can go.

According to Autoblog, the Camaro ZL1 has less horses than the 707hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat but its superior power-to-weight ratio means that it would be able to match the performance its HEMI-powered rival.

Well if it’s to be better than the Dodge Hellcat then the 0-60mph time to beat is 3.9 seconds.

Another issue that the ZL1 potentially faces is the in-cabin comfort, not in terms of seating but visibility. Small squinted windows make it seem quite uncomfortable to look out the vehicle, a problem many have brought up with previous ZL1 and other Camaro models as well.
