2017 Tesla Model S Going For The Big Guns

By  |

The 2017 Tesla Model S does not look at the Chevrolet Volt or the Nissan Leaf as potential rivals as this premium vehicle is looking to rival vehicles such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes.

It’s funny how in the past, folks had laughed at Tesla’s determination of coming up with a large EV that oozes luxury however, the tables are turned now and Tesla is the one laughing as it has successfully produced it.

The Tesla Model S is undeniably a top-selling model in terms of luxury sedans in the United States, according to Bloomberg. It had managed to record a 59 percent increase in sales during its third quarter, with a total sales figure of 9,156 units.

It looks like the sales of the Tesla Model S has surpassed the sales figures of the BMW 7 Series, Audi A8 as well as the Mercedes Benz S-Class.

And now, Tesla is apparently behind just one third of sales of luxury sedans in its segment. The Tesla Model S isn’t the only vehicle from Tesla’s line that has been hitting record sales though – the Tesla Model X crossover comes at a close second with its 5,428 units of sale.
