The first trailer for Netflix's adaptation of Altered Carbon is a hard one to sit through if you have a weak stomach.

I'll be the first to hold my hands up and admit that whenever a new Netflix series comes out, I immediately clear my schedule and spend my evenings binge-watching until I've completed the task at hand.

Netflix is gearing up for its biggest science fiction show in 2018 which is all set to blow viewers' minds.

A teaser trailer for Joel Kinnaman's upcoming series Altered Carbon has been released and he is seen covering up with just a sheet to stay modest!

That changes on February 2, 2018.

Altered Carbon is an intriguing story of murder, love, sex, and betrayal, set more than 300 years in the future. Society has been transformed by new technology: consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent.

The First Trailer for Netflix's Altered Carbon Is Full of Butts and Intrigue

Altered Carbon follows Takeshi Kovacs (played by Suicide Squad's Joel Kinnaman), a former United Nations elite soldier, who is hired to solve the apparent murder of Laurens Bancroft, an affluent Meth (someone who has lived and died more times than is common).

In a way, Altered Carbon looks an terrible lot like a sequel to the original Blade Runner - there's plenty on display here, from bodies in plastic nutrient sacks to stark, bright lighting, that seem to come straight from 2049.

Creative staff for Altered Carbon includes writer Laeta Kalogridis (Avatar, Terminator: Genisys), and Miguel Sapochnik (Game of Thrones) directed the first episode.

All 10 episodes of Altered Carbon drop on Netflix on February 2, 2018.

Police deemed it a suicide, however Bancroft is convinced he was murdered and enlists Kovacs to find out the truth.

Altered Carbon stars Will Yun Lee, Dichen Lachman, Joel Kinnaman, James Purefoy, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Martha Higareda, etc. Head on over to the link below to see a few more images from the series.
