LG G7 To Launch Ahead Of Samsung Galaxy S9 Event

The Galaxy A8 comes with 4GB RAM as well as 32GB and 64GB storage variants. On the back, there's a nice 16MP sensor with a f/1.7 aperture, which should let in more light and improve low-light photography.

As for connectivity options, the phone offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, LTE connectivity, NFC (supports Samsung Pay as well), Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C and Global Positioning System.

It is first-time that Samsung has come up with dual-camera lens in the front.

What is notable from the launch of the new mid-end smartphone is that Samsung made the brand names of the Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus similar to those of its flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus series.

Software: Both the phones run Android 7.1 Nougat-based Experience user interface. And with the advanced Live Focus feature, you can easily adjust the bokeh effect before or after you take the picture to create high-quality images. Both handsets sport water and dust resistant body with IP68 ratings.

Both the handsets have ditched the physical home button and the fingerprint sensor has been re-positioned at the rear below the camera module, the report added.

Samsung also revealed the prices of both the phones.
