DeMar DeRozan claims career-high 52 points to break Raptors record in Bucks win

DeRozan is the third player in Raptors history to score 50 or more in a single game.

Toronto won the series 4-2, with DeMar DeRozan averaging 23.5 points per game.

Before him, former Toronto stars Vince Carter and Terrence Ross held the joint record with 51 points but DeRozan beat that by one on Monday night to also claim a career high of 52 points.

Kyle Lowry had 26 points and Serge Ibaka added 11 for the Raptors, who also won 12 straight at Air Canada Centre between January 18 and March 6, 2016.

The Bucks (19-15) were visiting Toronto for the first time since the opening round of the 2017 National Basketball Association playoffs, when the talented young squad led by 6-foot-11 phenom Antetokounmpo got the NBA's attention by going up 2-1 on the favoured Raptors before Toronto won in six. VanVleet also made a clutch free throw with nine seconds left in overtime - after missing the first of two attempts - to give Toronto some breathing room. For Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading the way once again, averaging 29.1 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists on 54 percent shooting.

He scored 45 points against the Philadelphia 76ers in December, but he has been a bit inconsistent this season.

Kris Dunn claimed 22 points for the Bulls, but it was not enough and two misses late in the game sealed the victory for Portland.

The Raptors won 131-127 in overtime.

Karl-Anthony Towns recorded his 30th double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Timberwolves. But it wasn't all about the scoring for the USC product, as he also led the Raptors in assists with eight to go along with five rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot. Playing without Kyle Lowry who was rehabbing his right wrist, the Raptors gave up a 41-point second quarter, falling behind 53-42 at the half. Beginning with the path directly ahead, here are five New Year's resolutions for the Milwaukee Bucks. Elfrid Payton added 17 points and Bismack Biyombo had 13 points and a season-high 17 boards.
