Lucas Moura's representatives pushing for Liverpool switch over Manchester United

PSG superstar only wants Manchester United move but Mourinho needs to spend at least €30m for him

Manchester United have an interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura but that is as far as it has gone for now, Sky Sports News understands.

The Brazilian winger could provide some much-needed pace for the Red Devils, who will now look to strike a deal worth around €25m (£22.1m), report Italy's Gazzetta dello Sport and France's Canal+.

The forward is no longer considered an elite option, and this could be why United manager Jose Mourinho wishes to take him on loan rather than pay a sizeable transfer fee.

Moura has been told he is free to leave PSG during the January transfer window having failed to make a single league appearance for the club in the league following the summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Sao Paulo is Lucas Moura's former club and they could well have inside information on the PSG attacker's next move.

United were heavily linked with the player back before he signed for Paris, with Sir Alex Ferguson a known admirer.

"I am concentrating on improving my physical performance", Moura told Brazilian outfit UOL Esporte.

A report emanating from France this morning claims that PSG star Lucas Moura's representatives are trying to push him towards joining Liverpool this month, according to French media outlet Le Parisien.

The 24-year-old is still not an automatic starter in Turin despite his status, and he has been left on the bench five times in Serie A this term.

The 25-year-old's spot in Tite's 23-man Brazil squad would be under major threat if he can not show his talents and level of performance off and any chance of regular starts with PSG are minimal at best.
