Dragon Ball FighterZ release date, how to pre-order and how to play the open beta

The official PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Store has now been updated with the option to download the open beta of Dragon Ball FighterZ ahead of its launch.

In light of this, Bandai Namco has asked fans to be patient and wait a little longer, as more copies of the game are planned to ship in early February.

Dragon Ball FighterZ has been developed by Arc System Works which is known for similar fighting games like Guilty Gear Xrd and Chrono Phantasma. Beerus is the third character to receive a trailer this week, following the reveal of Goku Black on Monday and Hit on Wednesday. It also followed the transformation of his former enemies Piccolo and Vegeta into allies. Like Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, Beerus debuted in a Dragon Ball movie before being adapted to the new series, Dragon Ball Super. Now, in order to let players prepare for the trial period, the publisher and developer have made the beta client available for download on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Beerus is one of 11 characters playable in the beta. Those who pre-ordered the game will gain early access to the open beta on January 13 at 3:00 a.m. EST.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will be launched for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on January 26 in the US and the United Kingdom, and February 1 in Japan.
