Support for Android will be coming in the next few months.

Epic Games did not give us an exact release for Fortnite: Battle Royale for Android.

Fortnite Battle Royale is not a split screen game, and officially it is not cross platform between consoles, so you can not play on PS4 with your friends on Xbox One, for example. Those who receive invites will also get friend invite codes to share with others.

A sign up event is available for iOS owners starting on March 12th. That's right, there's now a mode that allows you to battle with five teams of 20 for the Victory Royale. Invites will not be sent out to everyone initially, though Epic said it will be adding more players "regularly over the coming months". If you get an invite you will be able to invite friends. The Android version will be out at a later date.

If you're expecting things to be pared down from the desktop and console varieties of the title, you'd be amiss. Your progress will also sync across the platforms.

Epic says, "We believe this is the future of games".

Gaming on mobile has been improving at a far greater rate than any technology that came before it.
