Kolkata Police begin investigation on charges level against India's pacer Md Shami after wife Hasin Jahan reports to police

Jahan, who was a divorcee and a mother of two girls when she met Shami, said that after the failure of her first marriage, she was keen to make it work with the cricketer.

Jahan told DNA that Shami insisted that she has physical relationship with his brother.

An emotionally drained Hasin Jahan made journalists listen to an audio clip where Shami purportedly accepts his infidelity.

Hasin submitted a written complaint to Kolkata Police Joint CP (Crime) Praveen Tripathi who said that it would be treated as an FIR.

The other charges recorded against Mohammed Shami are under Section 307 - attempt to murder, Section 323 - punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 376 - rape, Section 506 - criminal intimidation, Section 328 and Section 34. They only told me to sacrifice as he is a man and has the license to play around. I use this other auto and he uses BMW whenever he comes home.

On Wednesday Jahan took to social media platform Facebook and posted a few screenshots of text messages allegedly sent by Shami to various women. I don't know what she is up to. The last section was brought against Mohammed Shami's elder brother.

Moreover, earlier in an interview with India TV, Hasin also claimed that just like Indian captain Virat Kohli, Shami wants to marry a Bollywood actress by saying, "Just like Virat Kohli, Shami wants to get married to a Bollywood actress". She commented: "He regularly calls these women to his hotel rooms whenever he is visiting these cities".

It all started with Hasin's comment on Thursday, as reported by ABP, she opened up on her allegations after being informed about Shami's reaction on her previous allegation. "They even wanted to kill me", she alleged. "I've all the evidences & will soon drag him to the court", Hasina Jahan had said.

Shami has refuted the "match-fixing" allegation, saying that "he would rather die than do something like this".

The Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) have taken action by deciding to withhold Mo Shami's name from the list of contracted players in 2017/18 cricket, following the series of allegations made by the bowler's wife.
