You can't teach Messi anything new, says Argentina coach Sampaoli

Spain already know their team- Sampaoli seeks Argentina certainty

Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has admitted that it is hard to play alongside fellow teammate, Paulo Dybala in the national team.

Lionel Messi is set to miss Argentina's global friendly on Tuesday night with a hamstring injury, according to reports.

Lionel Messi was so frustrated with Argentina's woeful performance against Spain on Tuesday evening he walked off before the match had finished.

Last year, the Juve man admitted that he and Messi have not quite worked out how to play alongside one another, as they generally play in the same position for their respective clubs.

Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli told the media that his captain was fit and feeling good in Monday's pre-match press conference, saying that the player would tell him if there was any problem.

Nevertheless, the occasionally feisty nature of their Clasico showdowns does not give Sampaoli any cause for concern over Messi's fitness. "If there was a risk, Leo would have said so".

Sampaoli, however, said Barcelona's Messi was raring to go although their West Ham United forward Manuel Lanzini, who scored Argentina's second goal at the weekend, is doubtful.

"He trained yesterday and today and if he stays as he is there'll be no worries about him playing".

"He can generate a lot of stuff.it's impossible to teach something to Messi". I always see him at a high level of compromise with the national team and its wishes.

Even without Messi's injured Barca teammate Sergio Busquets, Spain produced another impressive display of controlled football when they drew 1-1 away to Germany on Friday night. He told us before the last friendly. "We've just played the world champions (Germany) and now face the runners-up who have an incredible player, who collectively have improved with the arrival of Sampaoli". On the right we can cut in and have the whole pitch in front of us.
