Steve Nash has been selected into the Naismith Hall of Fame File

Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and Grant Hill have been notified of their inductions into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2018, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Former Philadelphia 76ers point guard Maurice Cheeks will also be inducted with the Class of 2018, according to the report from ESPN.

The formal announcement will come during this Final Four weekend.

He spent six of his 18 seasons with the Pistons, where he averaged 21.6 points per game. The South African born PG is also one of only seven members of the exclusive 50-40-90 club, for which you gain entry by shooting at least 50% for field goals, 40% for three-pointers, and 90% for free throws during an entire National Basketball Association regular season. He won a ring with Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry, and the 2011 Dallas Mavericks (apologies to still-salty Heat and LeBron fans).

This allowed Nash, who hung up his boots in 2015, to join Kidd and Hill who each retired in 2015 in the 2018 class. He played 1,026 games, averaging 16.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Nash, on the other hand, is just one of 12 players ever to win two MVP awards, and was an eight-time All-Star. Kidd suited up for the Suns and New Jersey Nets, too.

Cheeks played 14 seasons in the league and established himself as one of the best passing point guards during his time with the Sixers, as well as a savvy defensive hawk with career averages of 11 points, 6.7 assists, and 2.1 steals.

He is now a player development coach for the Golden State Warriors.

Nash, a player development consultant for the Golden State Warriors, played 19 seasons.
