A 29-year-old man on Wednesday forced a standard six girl, whom they had been cohabiting for the last two weeks to take poison to evade arrest.

The wreck happened Saturday around 6:30 p.m.at the intersection of Taft Boulevard and Midwestern Parkway. Police say they found a half empty bottle of vodka in her pocketbook but no narcotics.

The suspect held the woman's hands and drove faster so she couldn't get out of the auto safely.

The Canine Unit, who were first to arrive on the scene, gave commands to the male passenger to stop for police before he was ultimately apprehended by a police dog.

At one point, the woman thought McCambridge was going to drive through a guardrail and over an embankment, so she broke free and rolled from the auto.

Police said someone told them that the suspect was making suicidal threats and may have a gun.

A short time later, McCambridge side-swiped a auto on West State Street, the report said.

Williams Lake RCMP were called to assist and along with 100 Mile House RCMP were actively looking for the suspect.

Police said officers fired at the suspect and injured him.

"I said there is a perception by some, not me, that it's one black criminal killing another black criminal so it doesn't really matter".

Forcier was arrested and booked into Butte County Jail for the outstanding warrants, in addition to being charged with felony vehicle pursuit, felony possession of a stolen vehicle, felony hit-and-run, and felony driving under the influence.
