The Pacers played up to their competition on Thursday night as they routed the defending National Basketball Association champion Golden State Warriors 126-106 at Banker's Life Fieldhouse.

Kevin Durant scored 27 points, hitting 8 of 23 shots, and Klay Thompson scored all 16 of his points in the first half for the Warriors.

Bojan Bogdanovic shot a blistering 83 percent from the floor (11-of-13, including 6-of-7 from 3), finishing with 28 points.

Of course, it doesn't help that the Warriors are missing Stephen Curry (left knee), Patrick McCaw (spine), Omri Casspi (right ankle) and Andre Iguodala (left knee). "We've just got to continue to keep getting better".

Durant, who finished with 27 points, disagreed with his coach's assessment of the game, as he said: "Nah, I thought we cared tonight".

The Warriors entered the night locked into the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference standings, but they still wanted to beat a rival that had taken two of the first three meetings this season. It took us awhile to ramp the aggressiveness up. "They came out with a better strategy".

"The win feels great", Oladipo said. They only have one player clearing 14 points per game-rookie Donovan Mitchell, who's just a mediocre shooter from the field (43.7 percent) and outside (33.8). "I'm embarrassed. I know this game doesn't mean anything in the seeding (for Golden State), but the playoffs start next week". They earned their sixth win in seven games and their second in nine days over Golden State.

The Warriors were swept by an Eastern Conference team for the first time since Charlotte did it in 2013-14. It was an embarrassing effort. The leader of the "Warriors" Kevin Durant made 15 mistakes with the game and ended the match with the index of usefulness "-17". The Pacers were in control from there, leading 97-77 after three quarters. Bogdanovic was 6 of 7 on 3s while IN was 15 of 29 from beyond the arc.

"He will be re-evaluated in four (4) weeks and, at this point, his playing status for the remainder of the season/playoffs has not been determined".

Golden State cut the deficit in half by scoring the first 10 points of the fourth quarter before in answered with 17-1 run to regain control.
