Another Polaroid photo then gets stacked on top of the first, which also has a piece of tape on it that says "the truth is developing".

The controversial Netflix thriller series 13 Reasons Why announced the premier date for its much-anticipated second season as 18 May. In the promo, you see several Polaroid photos floating through the air, each one dealing with a different character on the show.

The first character to appear in the one minute and 37 second clip is Tony Padilla (Christian Navarro) stepping out of his trademark auto holding a cassette tape. It is followed by a scene of Jessica (Alisha Boe) smiling brightly at her phone but is actually crying deep inside her heart.

Clear your calendar now because you'll want to binge-watch the entire season by the end of the weekend so you can talk about it all with your friends and co-workers on Monday morning. Things don't seem good afterwards as the polaroid photos feature Chloe seemingly getting drunk while Bryce sports an evil smirk. Meanwhile, Hannah's parents battle against the school district, which they believe is complicit in her death.

In the first season, the story of Hannah Baker's (Katherine Langford) life and events leading up to her suicide entranced viewers.

Season 2 picks up directly in the aftermath of Hannah's death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery.

The more than 90-second trailer showed familiar faces from the first season of 13 Reasons Why, as well as new cast members. "We'll see over the course of Season 2 that he continued to struggle with that", he told Insider, "but that hopefully there will be a community that is able to support him in a way that maybe there wasn't for Hannah".
