Many service provider will now partner with Instagram to connect with the users, a restaurant booking app Resy become one of the first to partner under this new update.

At Facebook's F8 developer conference, WhatsApp director Mubarik Imam announced that the platform will receive group video calling feature along with stickers. The feature, which is already accessible to some users, will achieve Instagram's transformation into a shopping powerhouse.

Select users of the social media site have begun to notice the addition of a payment button to the app's existing booking feature.

Thankfully, with today's update to the service, you can now view videos from Facebook or Instagram right in a conversation thread itself without worrying that you would be force to leave WhatsApp for the duration of the video. Instead, the native payments feature will allow users to purchase stuff without having to leave the app. Earlier in 2017, Instagram had claimed that it will let users book appointments and make reservations. With in-app payments, Instagram is one step closer to becoming the leading online shopping platform it always aspired to be. Though this might be the UPI feature, reports indicate that this payment feature can also be utilised to shop in Instagram directly. For now, the feature is only available for select users in the United States as well as in the UK. They will also be able to make the payment for the booked table via Instagram. The native payment feature is backed by Facebook's payment system. At the time of acquisition in 2014, WhatsApp had just 450 million monthly active users and 315 million daily active users and now WhatsApp has more than 1.5 billion users and these users are sharing more than 60 billion messages every day. Now for users those who have this feature, they can add their debit/credit cards and set a profile PIN for additional security.

While Instagram has started testing its payments feature only now, rival Snapchat had started testing something very similar in February this year. Whats app for organization, the recently introduced assistance targeting business, presently has 3 million users worldwide, " the face book CEO said.
