Apple is known to provide uniqueness in every upcoming device. A research note from Yuanta Securities analyst Jeff Pu suggests that Apple could include triple-lens rear camera sensor setup in at least one iPhone set to launch in 2019. Without providing any further details, Taipei Times reported that at least one of the new iPhone models coming in 2019 will have three cameras, and it's naturally going to be the highest-end variant. Earlier, news from China was that the camera system would be given 5x zoom and one lens would be 12 megapixels.

This means that the camera setup might be very similar to the one found on the Huawei P20 Pro. Previously numerous Apple's iPhone X users have come up connecting the breakdown of the Face ID with the back camera of the phone.

Pu's prediction falls in line with a separate report from the Economic Daily News, which also predicted a three-camera iPhone would release in 2019. To recall, the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X all come with 2X optical zoom.

Talking about the second model, the 2018 iPhone measuring 6.1-inch display is said to sport LCD display though is said to be smaller than the 6-inch model.

Huawei was the first company who came up with the triple-camera setup. Expect to see the competition ape Huawei, as Apple's next iPhone will most likely also ship with a third lens.

For comparison, the Huawei P20 Pro features a 40-megapixel camera, a 20-megapixel monochrome camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens that's capable of 3x optical zoom.

iPhone X has become the world's best-selling smartphone during Q1 of 2018. Nothing else has been mentioned in the report and information about the other iPhone models are scarce at the moment.
