Cuomo and Vance finally play nice over Schneiderman probe

"What that tells me as a former investigator is that they had a lot more information on him than we do", said Giglio, a former deputy inspector general in the Attorney General's Office.

What is so confounding to Giglio is that Schneiderman embraced the #MeToo movement and ordered an investigation into accusations against Harvey Weinstein as more women came forward a year ago to accuse Weinstein of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Schneiderman resigned this week amid allegations that he physically abused several women that he dated. "I have not assaulted anyone", Schneiderman said in a statement. "I have never engaged in nonconsensual sex, which is a line I would not cross". Schneiderman said he "strongly contested" the allegations, attributing his actions to "role-playing".

Cuomo called for a "complete and unbiased investigation" and said Singas should "investigate, and if warranted, prosecute, any and all matters concerning the public allegations against Mr. Schneiderman, as reflected in The New Yorker article". He did this as a New York State senator and served as the chair of a special committee that ultimately recommended to censure or expel Monserrate. Ironically, the law that Eric Schneiderman sponsored as a legislator to criminalize choking in domestic disputes may the same law that sends him to prison.

"I have asked people to not discuss candidates", Heastie said.

Michelle Manning Barish (above): After four weeks of being involved with Mr Schneiderman, she says that, as they were preparing for bed and still fully clothed, he "all of a sudden, just slapped me, open-handed and with great force, across the face" and then pushed her down and began to choke her.

"I knew it was wrong", she told The New Yorker. She will get assistance from Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini, regarding at least one accuser's claims that Schneiderman assaulted her in the Hamptons, in Suffolk County.

Schneiderman has denied abusing anyone. "Eric Schneiderman, you are trash and we do not need you".

"We know that domestic violence victims are often some of the most vulnerable residents of our state". In a speech delivered just a week ago, he said, "If a woman can not control her body, she is not truly equal".

"For my daughter and for all women". I was fully dressed and remained that way. After all that has happened in Albany, I don't think I can be shocked, then I'm shocked again. "I find it impossible to believe these allegations are true".

Bee later "checked in" on other "penis weasels" who have been accused of sexual abuse and harassment since the #MeToo movement gained traction, including news anchor Charlie Rose and movie producer Harvey Weinstein. Schneiderman also filed a lawsuit challenging the credibility of Trump University in 2013.

"As long as the Trump Administration continues to ignore the rule of law, roll back important environmental protections, and sell out our nation's public lands and offshore waters, progressive state attorneys general across the nation will continue to fight back and hold this administration accountable", said David Hayes, director of the State Energy and Environmental Impact Center.
