For many years Eurovision's entrants have extended far beyond Europe's boundaries, with countries including Israel and even Australia now annually competing.

But, as with all things Eurovision, anything can happen.

Since 2004, the European Broadcasting Union asks the host broadcaster to host semifinals, in order to filter all the countries that wish to participate.

This year however, the United Kingdom is represented by Eurovision: You Decide victor SuRie, and she's determined to win. TV viewers can not cast votes for representatives of their countries.

On Tuesday, Cyprus took away Israel's lead in the betting odds for the first time since Toy was released. Many now compare this semi final to the shock semi in 2011, when Armenia, Turkey and Norway all got eliminated.

This year the Eurovision organizers have replaced the traditional red carpet for blue, considering the theme of this year's competition, which is dedicated to the ocean.

MADE it to this year's Eurovision final.

The finals start at 5am (AEST) on Sunday.

Over 200 million people across the world tune in.

SBS are the broadcast partner of Eurovision and have been covering the event for years. With Myf Warhurst and Joel Creasey commentating on both semi-finals and the Grand Final, watching on the free-to-air channel will be a blast.

He was eliminated from BGT before the live shows because of a conflict of interest between the shows. The SBS On Demand app is also available to download for both iOS and Android.

Trust us, if you watch anything today, let it be this. On "the Eurovision"-2018 artist brought the song How to write a song with her, he will perform in the second semifinal on Thursday".
