Fallout 76 Is Bethesda's Next Game

Bethesda Teases ‘Fallout’ News With Hours Long Livestream

Another purported leak appeared on Reddit just hours before the announcement, claiming Fallout 76 would be "a game surrounding the base building element".

According to Schreier, Fallout 76 is under development "at both Bethesda Game Studios' main office in Maryland and at the Austin office formerly known as Battlecry Studios".

The Official Teaser Trailer doesn't really tell us much; all the real good stuff Bethesda is keeping for their E3 showcase. To put it simply, we want to see exactly the type of game Fallout 76 will be.

So far, we don't see any bodies, and it looks like there was recently a Reclamation Day ceremony to celebrate the opening of Vault 76. It's whereabouts are unknown, but it was created to open exactly 20 years after the nuclear war.

With Vault 76 being a control group, the occupants will likely experience none of this. In addition, they are also live streaming on Twitch with a puppet of the Vault Boy now asleep. Fans and journalists alike took random guesses as to what Bethesda's newest title could be, but when Fallout 76's name was announced the previous talk was quickly silenced. So, still a prequel, but also still a little confusing.

Surprise! The next Fallout game isn't a Fallout 3 remake. We'll be sure to find out more in the coming weeks, that much is for sure.

Throughout the video, John Denver's Take Me Home, Country Roads is playing.

Here at Game Revolution it's been non-stop talking about Fallout, which fits pretty well because it seems as if all of the world has caught the same bug too.

As for the future of the game and when you get to actually play it?

IGN's own Jordan Oloman spotted what could be a date for the game's setting - October 27, 2102 - which would place it canonically before every other Fallout game released so far.

On May 29, Bethesda-the publisher of the Fallout series from 2008 and the Elder Scrolls games-started a Twitch stream showing nothing but a Vault Boy statue standing in front of a screen saying "Please stand by". Could this be a Fallout MMO? Probably not that last one.
