Thanks to a pricing strategy that will cater to a wider audience and bunch of new colors, Kuo expects the 2018 iPhones to do very well in terms of sales and ship 70 million units in Q4 this year.

It's already thought that Apple is planning three iPhone X models this year adding one with a larger screen and another with lower specs and cheaper price.

The 2018 version of the iPhone X could be available in as many as seven colors. The top tier 6.5-inch iPhone will share those colors as well as the dual camera and will cost $1000.

The new base model iPhone, expected to have a 6.1-inch LCD screen, will be coming in blue, orange, and red, in addition to the usual gray and white. Except for the "S" series, Apple has never launched iPhones in such a large range of colors.

This iPhone is expected to be unveiled along with 6.5-inch OLED iPhone X Plus priced in the same ballpark as the current iPhone X, along with an updated 5.8-inch iPhone X that will receive a modest price cut.

Now it's feared that a lot of people's iPhone chargers will soon be out of date and unable to juice up the latest Apple smartphones. The third, will bring down the lineup's price point and try to convince more users to upgrade their devices and utilize Face ID. Leaks which reportedly originated from the Federal Communications Commission suggest a gold version of the iPhone X has been in the pipeline for a while.

There's no official word from Apple when these new phones will be unveiled but it's likely Apple will reveal all in early September.
