United States actor George Clooney has been released from an Italian hospital after being involved in a motor accident Tuesday.

George Clooney is recovering at home after a scooter accident in Sardinia.

Reuters George Clooney managed to walk away from a scary scooter crash on the island of Sardinia.

The Oceans Eleven star was riding his bike at Costa Corallina when he collided with a vehicle. Local media that had gathered at the hospital said Clooney is believed to have left through a side exit.

"The vehicle driver called the 112, the emergency number of Carabinieri, and they sent the Municipal Police, an ambulance and the Fire Dept".

The actor went to the hospital after complaining of a slight pain in his pelvis and bruises to the leg, La Nuova reported, but was released after tests showed he was fine. George has been working on his new project Catch 22 (based on the novel by Joseph Heller), with the star directing, producing and starring in the six-episode miniseries.

The Clooney family, including Amal Clooney, and the couple's 1-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, have relocated to Italy for the filming.

Clooney has a home on the Italian mainland, on Lake Como.
