Philadelphia Eagles: The ‘Philly Special’ strikes again

Fantasy Football 2018: Thursday Night Football Start Em, Sit Em Week 1

It's finally here, and while the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles may not have played the most aesthetically-pleasing game last night, it was nice to see real NFL football back on the football field and on the television screen. A 21-yard rush on a nifty trap play by Corey Clement moved the Eagles inside the Falcons' 15-yard line, setting up Ajayi's winning score. In fact, ever since I learned that Nick Foles was going to be the starter, and that Wentz was still recovering, my confidence shot sky high. "We build on this, we keep building".

Even with the new season underway, and last year's Super Bowl now a distant memory, the Philadelphia Eagles are still doing their best to troll the New England Patriots. It was also the same end zone at Lincoln Financial Field.

Trailing 3-6 to open the second half, Philadelphia came out flying and turned the tables after getting momentum from a play that may look a bit familiar. "The deciding factor was our defensive line and our offensive line and how they controlled the line of scrimmage".

The Eagles went back into their bag of tricks in their win over the Falcons, calling the Philly Special - this time called Philly Philly - in the third quarter to get the offense going.

Eagles fans had waited 52 years to raise a Super Bowl banner. Ajayi moved with his parents to the U.S. when he was seven years old. That included Lurie, Rubin and a number of notable Eagles players.

They made a decision to run the "Philly Special" - only this time, it was dubbed the "Philly, Philly".

"We needed to do something", Foles told NBC of the "Philly Special II" in an on-field interview postgame.

We can just add his presence for the ceremony on Thursday evening to what will be nothing less than a massive block party in Philadelphia.
