Nintendo is rolling out its Switch Online service next week

Nintendo has revealed new games and a new control method for the NES games on Nintendo Switch Online.

We still aren't going to be getting a Virtual Console, though the company will be adding 20 NES games to the console, along with the option to play them in co-op. 3, Tecmo Bowl, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, Double Dragon, Gradius, Ice Hockey, Mario Bros., Dr. Mario, River City Ransom, Pro Wrestling and Baseball.

Alongside the release of the online service will come with NES-themed Joy-Cons.

Nintendo had one more feature it shared, rewards and special offers for members on the service, but did not go into further details as to what this refers to. Not only is the feature not guaranteed to be compatible for all games, it must also be done via the Nintendo Switch Online app. You can get a glimpse of them in action in the trailer above.

Nintendo announced on Wednesday that Nintendo Switch Online will launch in just less than a week, on Saturday, Sept. 18. Other games will have the standard-fare multiplayer enhanced for online multiplayer.

While UK pricing hasn't yet been confirmed, we know how much it'll cost in the US. Afterwards, it will no longer be possible to unlink your Nintendo Account from your Nintendo Switch user profile.
