Bring your kids into the Champions League, that would be amusing.

Danny Higginbotham believes that Saturday's clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley will suit Liverpool FC.

"Also Pep will be going for it. Man City will be going for the Premier League, trying to win it twice in a row, and they will be trying to win the Champions League". They are different in the way that they play and how they act on the pitch.

"I know that's very hard to do but if they could go into February, March, April without it, I think they could have a real chance [of winning the league] if they had free weeks".

Spurs have won three of their four Premier League games so far, losing at Watford before the worldwide break and will be desperate to bounce back.

Liverpool FC earned lots of praise for their solid form last season as they reached the Champions League final, but they ended up losing to Real Madrid in the showpiece. "We have seen that we can do it", Klopp said. How do you prepare for a game when you don't focus on it? I don't understand. We play our kids or what?

"Mauricio Pochettino has the same issue to get ready for the game tomorrow, that's how it is". Four very efficient victories so far this season suggest that a bigger squad with greater depth in quality has given them better foundations that will be tested properly by Spurs today.

"It was a kind of a wake-up call, to be honest", Klopp said.

"The other is for me a more complete player but both are complete players".

But he's probably very pleased with the way he chose to go in the end, given that the aforementioned pair have become such important players under his watch. Yes, we learned, the experience was that one game can be completely different to another. "It was the moment where we could show that we are really convinced about what we are doing, we just had to do it more often and in a better way".

The Reds have picked an impressive 43 points from 28 games against Spurs, Manchester United, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
