Pricing follows the official Google Store pricing which means you'll need to splash the cash to the tune of £739/£839 for the 64GB/128GB variants of the Pixel 3 and £869/£969 for the 64GB/128GB versions of the Pixel 3 XL. In addition to discovering the new Google Titan M Security chip, the experts also found the all-new Samsung AMOLED panel which explains the brighter, more saturated display as compared to last year's Pixel 2.

The excellent Google Pixel 3 just hit stores this week, and we don't blame you if you're clamoring to grab one.

The most notable piece of information that seemingly flew under the radar amidst the plethora of leaks, is that Google is no longer working with LG to produce its displays.

For the XL model, you will have to make a one-time payment of Rs 20,000, and pay Rs 3,999 in EMI for 18 months. The service first debuted with the Xperia XZ Premium is less flexible than Google's solution in terms of one's choice of images taken around a second before the actual shutter button was pressed but the handful of frames it does deliver are full-resolution photographs suitable for more applications than just Instagram posts, which appears to be the main objective of Top Shot.

When Google revealed the data centre Titan chip past year, the Chocolate Factory said its goal was to provide a "hardware-verified boot and end-to-end authenticated root of trust" for its servers. One of the features of Titan M is security in the bootloader.

Typically, the only reason why a Pixel would be SIM locked is if it was being sold by Verizon - or Best Buy as a Verizon reseller - on a multi-month financing plan.

The all-glass back of the phone can be cracked quite easily, too, earning the Pixel 3 XL a pretty low repairability score of 4/10. Whether a Verizon representative (in store, online or on the phone) would be willing to do that for you when you're not a Verizon customer is another question entirely. This is in addition to Google's own Pay service.
