Paula Abdul Falls Off Stage During 'Straight Up' Tour

In a video of the accident, Paula could be seen falling head first into the crowd, with the audience heard gasping and screaming after the slip up during Saturday's show in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The nasty fall took place as she was passionately singing one of her hit songs and walking closer to the edge.

Despite the tumble, it's reported Abdul, a former judge on American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance Australia, is fine.

"She took two steps forward when she should have taken two steps back", quipped one YouTube commenter, a slick reference to her 1989 hit Opposites Attract with the animated MC Skat Kat. She would love to expand her resume and produce television shows and films.

Luckily, she was okay and was able to continue the performance.

Despite the shocked screams of concertgoers punctuating the clip, the singer was quickly helped back onstage by audience members and continued the show, TMZ reports. "[Abdul] stated, she has been a dancer for years so falls and drops she has gotten used to over the years", the fan said.

After all, those are the tunes that really put her on the map!

Other publications are reporting merely that Abdul fell on her face, as shown in this amusing, though starting video.

Last year, Paula joined Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block on the Total Package Tour as a co-headliner and seeing how successful the whole thing was convinced her to do her own thing again.
