On Monday, Montgomery admitted to being frustrated about his lack of opportunities, but said it had no bearing on his split-second decision. "I don't think they ready for it".

"Never spent any time in Maryland before", said the 25-year-old Montgomery, who was born in MS, raised in Texas, attended Stanford in California and was drafted by the Packers in Wisconsin.

Clinton-Dix wore Taylor's jersey number 21 in Green Bay, and says he'll wear number 20 for the Redskins, who took Taylor's number out of circulation after his death in 2007. "I was trying to figure out how I'm going to move my wife and kid up here".

"But I've never been a guy to completely disobey what I'm being told". We are in Maryland, right?

In his four year career with the Packers rushing and receiving, he has 274 touches, 1676 yards from scrimmage, 10 total touchdowns, and averages 6.1 yards per touch. Currently, the Packers have safeties Kentrell Brice, Josh Jones, Jermaine Whitehead and Raven Greene on the roster.

A 2020 seventh round pick is about as minuscule a risk as you can take on any player, and hopefully the Ravens can get any sort of good use out of Montgomery in hopes of getting their season back on track.

Carson was promoted from the Packers practice squad on Wednesday.

"They took him out (the previous drive) for a play and he slammed his helmet and threw a fit", one Packers player said. A very versatile player: "running back, obviously very good in the pass game as a running back as well - protection and catching the ball in the backfield and things like that - lines up at receiver at times". In fact, the running back was a little confused on where he was while talking to reporters inside the team's locker room in Owings Mills.

A wide receiver coming out of college, Montgomery transitioned to running back during the 2016 season and has stayed there since. I'm excited to be back there with him. "I'm here. I want to be here".
