Apple AirPods: Could It Be Finally Arriving?

By  |

Apple’s AirPods, basically wireless headphones, were first announced at Apple’s iPhone 7 event in September this year. It garnered quite a lot of negative feedback which didn’t seem to affect the company. However, ever since that day, Apple fans were left to wait for an indefinite amount of time for it to arrive.

According to an authorized Apple retailer, the wireless headphone will be launched some time in December but Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, has another revelation.

MacRumors recently reported on a frustrated iPhone 7 owner who had emailed Tim Cook saying, “Give us a release date. I really bought in to the wireless vision you painted. Now I’m stuck waiting with my EarPods but can’t charge my 7 at the same time which I need to do at work. Let us know if it’s a month or 6 months, because then I’ll just buy some other wireless headphones.”

Tim Cook then responded by saying, “Thanks for your note. Sorry for the delay—we are finalizing them and I anticipate we will begin to ship over the next few weeks.”

Although there are various cases of people faking this, MacRumors has affirmed that this is legitimate email.

Well, it looks like the AirPods, initially expected to be released in October, will soon be making its way. Let’s hope it’s before Christmas!
