Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe: More Popular Than Expected

By  |

The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is by no means ostentatious, but it isn’t just another face in the crowd either. Its unique metal texture paired with some eye-catching specs and a bold price tag of up to $800 seems to have done well enough to woo many buyers.

That’s because the phone is currently out of stock, suggesting that Asus has underestimated its popularity. Maybe just 100 units were made – who really knows right?

But we’d like to think that Asus is finally gaining more traction in the market after hovering about the sidelines for quite some time. For those who are looking to get their hands on one, there’s scantly cause for despair, as the next batch of units would be arriving on October 26.

There are two versions of the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. One comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD display powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor and 6GB RAM while the other is smaller at 5.5 inches (also Full HD) powered by a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB RAM.

Both models share the same 23MP camera with 4-axis OIS support, expandable storage of up to 256GB, and 3,000mAh battery backed by Quick Charge 3.0.

Both have a 5.7 screen, and the special edition has way more built in storage. The question remains though, are the 2 gigs of RAM, heavily increased internal storage and faster cpu worth the $300 price difference betwewn 499USD and 799USD for the special edition?
