Audi Forks Out $28 Million For Silvercar Rental Company

By  |

If you have been dreaming of riding on an Audi but couldn’t really quite step up to the price tag, fret not, because Silverturn would solve all your worries. They are providing users the opportunity to even have an Audi waiting for you when you land at the airport, because they really can: with exclusively stock fully-loaded silver examples of Ingolstadt’s finest at airports across the country.

And we should give props to Audi for making this happen. The automaker reportedly invested $28 million Series C, all for the general idea of helping (somewhat a start-up) Silvercar to expand into new markets. It’s worth noting that the company has been established in 2012, and since then it has already run locations at airports in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Orlando, Phoenix, Dallas, Austin and Denver.

Apart from the current rental project they’re working on, Audi and Silvercar will also collaborate on developing the Audi Shared Fleet programme, which allows companies to loan vehicles out to their respective employees. Well, what do you have to say about this? Do you think that Audi’s ahead of the game with being so generous in its “donations“?
