BlackBerry PRIV: Old-School Tech For Dad

By  |

Chances are a lot of our fathers that aren’t too old yet have experienced the cell phone revolution when they were at their prime, back when mobile devices were larger than portable speakers and had pull-up antennas.

If you’re thinking that your Dad needs a new device, why not get him the BlackBerry PRIV? Not only does it have more or less the top specs in the smartphone market, it also keeps the old-school feature of a physical keyboard with tactile buttons.

BlackBerry is offering the PRIV for $100 this Father’s Day which pulls its asking price down to $550. For a phone with a 5.4-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 808, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, and a 3,410mAh battery, that’s not a bad deal.

But isn’t the original retail price of the PRIV at least $700? Well, yes – it’s just that because of the device failing to hit its initial sales target, BlackBerry has permanently chopped its figure to $650.
