FCA And Ford To Show Off Smartphone Integration

Toyota might seem to be the odd one out in the automotive world with their respective infotainment systems, considering that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Ford have also recently announced that the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be integrated into their vehicles.

FCA’s UConnect System and Ford’s Sync 3 will literally have the best of both worlds; Apple CarPlay will integrate the driver’s iPhone with the vehicle’s built-in features as well as having access to the Siri functions, while Android Auto would also be responsible for providing new AppLink apps for the drivers. That means drivers can conveniently check whether or not they have locked or unlocked their car doors, fuel, and much more, all from the smartphone.

The UConnect System and Sync 3 would be shown off to the world alongside Toyota’s SDL system, at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week, so it’ll be great to check it out yourselves if you’re around the area.
