Ford Explorer & Taurus At Risk Of Catching Fire!

By  |

Ford announced on an urgent recall earlier today involving both the Explorer and the Taurus. The announcement was made right after NHTSA discovered a fire risk with the aforementioned vehicles.

In detail, NHTSA found that the fuel delivery module can crack and this could cause fuel leak. If the leaked fuel is to drip on a hot surface, it can catch fire almost immediately.

Thankfully for Ford, the recall is not really huge as it involves only 868 examples of the Explorer, Explorer Police Utility, Taurus, Taurus Police Interceptor, Flex, the Lincoln MKS and the Lincoln MKT.

All the vehicles being involved in the recall are from 2013 and the owners have been notified about it accordingly.
