Forget About The Galaxy S7; Galaxy S5 Neo Is Just As Good

By  |

You’re probably keen on waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S7 that’s due to be released end of this month. And you’re currently using the Galaxy S5, but feel like you should upgrade it. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo might just be ideal for you because it’s seemingly faster, has better battery life and cheaper than the S5 too.

The S5 Neo could be the Korean tech giant’s way of making it up to fans for its misgivings of the 2014 flagship, Galaxy S5, or it could just be merely hopes in giving the S5 a rebirth; whichever works. But Samsung has confirmed that it’s not an all-new smartphone as it’s just an iteration of a nearly two-year-old base model of the S5. It’s still great news for UK users anyway, since phone enthusiasts now have another alternative.

It’s also been dubbed that the S5 Neo is a déjà vu of its sibling, the Galaxy S5. They are both of the same shape, size, weight, but differs in the processor. The former is powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7850 chipset running at a clock speed of 1.6GHz, while the S5 is packed with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.

Surprisingly, those figures meant that the Galaxy S5 Neo can perform better and quicker than that of its brethren’s Snapdragon 801 chipset. Moreover, the S5 Neo’s 2800mAh battery can last longer than the already superb battery life of the S6 Edge and the Motorola Moto X-Force. That already tells us something, isn’t it?

If you’ve been wondering whether the phone has made it to retailers in the UK, yes it has. So grab it while it’s still hot in the market!
