“Half-Life 3” In Steam List: Real Or Hoax?

By  |

The survival first-person shooter video game, “Half-Life 3” has probably pushed you further into disappointment because it’s just not going to be released just yet. Oh come on, would you be launched already! Since “Half-Life 2” was released more than 10 years ago, would it get you anticipated again for the third series?

Though there is literally no hint of the possibility coming from Valve, we cannot deny the fact that Half-Life 3 is one of the upcoming games to be released on Steam (yes, we’re not kidding.) Apart from “Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture” and “Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD”, “Half-Life 3” is also included, which means there’s a chance it’s coming out soon, right?

We hate to break it to you, but as far as Steam is being an almost-always accurate site predicting upcoming game titles, there’s still the possibility of not being right all the time. Some sources have also mentioned that there’s also another possibility that third-party Steam game developers can create and name their own apps and packages (hence, the name may be a hoax after all).

Well, for what it’s worth, let’s just be hopeful that the game would be released as soon as possible because we just cannot wait any longer!

I really wonder what prompted Newell and Valve to completely abandon the series that made them. It’s absolutely puzzling. What are they waiting for? Are they developing some secret game engine that they’re going to debut with HL3? It really makes no sense why they can’t at least be honest and tell us all what’s up.
