Huawei Honor 5X: Cheaper Gets Better

By  |

If there was one thing that would hold people back from buying the Huawei Honor 5X before this, it is the device’s lack of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The Android 5.1.1 system that it comes with leaves a lot to be desired, and is a battery charge killer.

The good news is that Marshmallow has arrived on the budget device, which should make it easier to put down money for it.

Besides, it costs only $200. If that’s not enough, wait awhile and some discounts push it to as low as $150. You can’t get a better deal than that for a handset with Snapdragon 616, 2GB RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery.

The Marshmallow version that reaches the Honor 5X isn’t the default one. It comes with some add-ons from EMUI 4.0 that include message delays, screen recording functionality, and smart contact groups, among others.

Some of the default features with the update are Doze mode, Google Now on Tap, and better control of app permissions.
