Huawei P9 & Mate 8 Gets Nougat, At Last!

Previous rumors have said that Huawei may only be updating all its P9 and Mate 8 devices to the latest Android OS by early 2017. However, it looks like Huawei has speed up the process, much to fans pleasure.

The latest Nougat update is a pretty big deal to most Android users, especially tech enthusiasts, and smartphone manufacturers have been working hard in bringing the update out in time to its users.

According to PhoneArena, the Huawei P9 and the Mate 8 has started receiving the official Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

But, sadly, this update is only a China-exclusive right now. Huawei has kicked off the update to that region while leaving the rest of the world out, for now.

In China, the firmware version is called B352 for the Huawei P9 while the Mate 8’s firmware version is called B552.

Well, since China users have seen the update, it indicates that the arrival of the latest update to the US will be nothing later than the start of 2017. We’ll just have to wait till then.
