Just Another Patent: Lamborghini’s “Egoista”

Another patent, again. But this time around, it’s not Ford, but Lamborghini’s “Egoista”. And though the name was previously used on an outrageous one-off, single-seater concept back in 2013, the latest trademark doesn’t necessarily mean the concept will be given the green light for production.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Lamborghini Egoista was the car that surfaced in 2013 commemorating the automaker’s 50th anniversary. The name itself is rather “selfish”; featuring only a single solitary seat under the hood. What’s more, the unique design that the concept car sports on were all penned by Walter De Silva that was inspired by helicopter gunships, thus, making it super edgy and Furious-like.

It’s also worth noting that the Egoista was never displayed at any auto shows, somewhat mysterious because it just goes straight to the museum’s entrance in Sant’Agata Bolognese.Let’s just extra hopeful that they could use for Fast & Furious 8, because it definitely looks really bad-ass.
