Motorola Gives New Year Treat: Moto G3 With Android 6.0 Marshmallow

By  |

Motorola has been generous during this New Year’s; Moto G3 users in India will be receiving an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The upgrade from Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) to Android 6.0 does not really have an exact release date yet, but it should be happening very soon.

The news first got announced when Motorola India tweeted about the upgrade; saying that they are gonna roll out something new and amazing for Moto 3 users, which would be the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. For those unfamiliar, the upgrade will enable users to have added enhancements like the “Doze Mode” to extend battery life, Google Now on Tap, and simpler volume control. Apps like “Migrate” and “Assist” would also be removed; all with the general idea of giving users more space on their phone with the newly-extended 2GB.

Usually the phone would notify you about the update, but should the event of it not occurring, users can always manually check for the software update by going to Settings > About Phone > System Update.
