Porsche 718 Cayman Looks Very Boxster-ish

By  |

Sure, we’ve seen the unveiling of the Porsche 718 Boxster, but people have already started talking about its hard-top sibling. The latter would be named as the 718 Cayman and it could really take in a lot of the design cues from its Boxster brethren, making it stand-out but also very much blending in. We’re not sure if that’s going to be a good thing, though.

We don’t know for sure how the Cayman hard-top is going to look like, but at least one rendering artist seems to have an idea. The above image is a rendering courtesy of Remco M, and it really looks pretty close to the Stuttgart’s revamped sports coupe. To be fair, it’s still a very sexy-looking car that we think would be faring pretty decently in the market.

If the rendering proves right, we’ll be expecting some rear bumpers and double-tailpipe exhaust system being maintained with the same designs, as well as having the signatures “Porsche” lettering in between the taillights. But if you’re wondering about the price tag it’s been labelled with, there’s no official announments made for it yet, and Porsche is also being very tight-lipped about the release dates for this much-anticipated 718 Cayman.

What do you think about the rendering we’ve scavenged through the net to look for what’s seemingly our best indication of how the Cayman might look like?
