Samsung Galaxy S7: Best Quarter In Two Years!

At the end of the day, money talks, and sales lead to money. Samsung has achieved enough of that via the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge to be the center of attention and is basking in it for as long as it can before Apple comes to spoil the party again in September.

Whether or not Apple would be able to snatch the spotlight from Samsung this year remains to be seen though.

But so far, if the iPhone SE is any indication, Cupertino is not doing as terribly as we’ve been led to believe.

Anyway, we’ve already known for a while that the Galaxy S7 is a raging success. So what’s the big deal this time? Well, in Q2 2016 the Korean OEM has racked up an operating profit of about 8.2 trillion won, which translates to roughly $6.95 billion.

That figure makes the past quarter its best in two years, which means that the Galaxy S7 is arguably the most successful Samsung flagship since the Galaxy S4. We say arguably because for now there’s no telling how much of that record figure comes from the company’s mid-range and budget devices.
