Samsung Galaxy S8: Don’t Rule Out The Impossible

By  |

By this point it’s almost taken for granted that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be released with a sole rear camera, accompanied by a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. All leaks so far have confirmed this.

However, it appears that Samsung might either have some interesting advertising tactics or is simply pulling everyone’s leg here, seeing that a curious little tweet has recently popped up.

According to Samsung Exynos, the upcoming flagship could be sporting a dual camera setup. Well, there wasn’t any explicit mention of that, but it’s difficult not to get the idea from the tweet’s accompanying image.

To be fair though, it could simply mean that the Exynos 8895 chipset that powers the Galaxy S8 is capable enough to support dual image signal processors based on the image’s caption.

And since the tweet doesn’t specifically mention the Galaxy S8, Samsung could be attempting to attract other OEMs to include Exynos hardware into their devices. It still doesn’t seem convincing though – why market to other OEMs using Twitter?

Anyway, there isn’t enough evidence from this to suggest that all the leaks we’ve seen of the Galaxy S8 thus far are bogus. We’ll see how it goes.
