Sony’s Fun-Sized Smartphone Arrives At US Shores

By  |

Sony has always had a love/hate relationship with the US, and a rather “rowdy” one, if we may say so. Both of Sony’s glass slab-designed smartphones that were introduced back in September’s IFA conference, the Z5 and Z5 Compact makes for an interesting year ahead, though only the latter is more promising.

The $500 Z5 Compact is so small but cute; a 4.6-inch smartphone that houses some guts as impressive as its bigger brethren, the Z5. It’s equipped with the same Snapdragon chip as its bigger brother, so it’s worthy to see how it’ll fare well in the markets. But perhaps the most critical piece of information missing would be whether or not Sony has plans to bring its 4K super phone, the Z5 Premium, to the US.

It’s probably not the most convincing of ideas to cram a 4K display into a phone that doesn’t have a battery lifespan that’s promising enough (yet), but still, we can’t deny the fact that it’s an intriguing one. Till then, we’ll just wait for the Z5 Compact to hit our stores. But then again, it’s probably going to attract more ladies’ attention than men.
