Updated Apple Watch Fans Larger Flame

By  |

Sales of the iPhone may not end up as amazing as before, but its impacts are bolstered as Apple is establishing a stronger dominance in the wearables market with some much needed updates to the Apple Watch.

At the recent 2016 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), Apple promised that the current issues plaguing its wearable due to the burdensome Watch OS 2.0 are going to be resolved with watchOS 3.

The system update that arrived last year came with a number of features that made it easier to access and utilize third-party apps and hardware. However, that update presented processing problems for the Apple Watch as overall performance slowed significantly.

Another welcome change with watchOS 3 is its growing similarity to the iOS on the iPhone, which means that the Apple Watch has an interface that more closely resembles the one on the handset.

Apple has also conceded to the market trend of selling wearables primarily as fitness trackers instead of fashion devices. There’s more emphasis on the Activities aspect of the device, and a simpler layout to boot.
